This dress made the perfect travel outfit for Singapore when Lauren was travelling there for a couple of days. With only 3 days to explore, but a focus on taking a winter wardrobe for other travels in Europe, taking pieces that were light and easy to wear was key.
We made this dress using the Tessuti Alessi Bias dress in this fun checked fabric from Spotlight
Pattern: Tessuti Alessi Bias Dress
The Alessi Bias Dress from Tessuti is a pullover dress with a high, round neckline and finishes mid calf.
The check and arm ared finished with a visible self-binding. We added the optional back darts.
We finished the side seams with a slip for extra movement.
Find the pattern on the Tessuti website here.
Fabric: Spotlight Madras Checked Cotton
When we saw the colour combo of the Madras checked fabric in jade and hot pink, we knew it was for us!
This cotton fabric is 145cm wide, which was perfect for the bias cut of the Tessuti Pattern. And what fun it was creating the diagonal checks!
