We had been watching the fabulous pattern prints come through on Fabric Broker, and when we saw this Tutti Frutti material come up, we couldn’t resist! The challenge became finding a pattern that would showcase the fun print. We explored different patterns and found we were looking for a simple, long-line dress that did not have any design lines that would interrupt the fabric print.
Pattern: New Look 6866
We landed on New Look 6866, a sleeve dress with bust darts from the side seam, and the option for an above-the-knee or mid calf length. For the neckline, we used the high round boat neck.
We added a split in the side seams as an extra detail and added a bit of a fun leg moment.
This ended up being a great choice of pattern, and we loved how easy it was to stitch up, but it made a big impact with this Fabric Broker material.
